BlackBerry, stop delle transazioni al NASDAQ. Le azioni quotate al New York Stock Exchange

Attraverso un comunicato stampa, BlackBerry ha annunciato il proprio piano per spostare la quotazione delle proprie azioni dal NASDAQ Global al New York Stock Exchange. L'ocasione sarà propizia anche per cambiare il simbolo del ticker che diventerà “BB” rispetto al precedente “BBRY”. John Chen, Presidente Esecutivo e CEO di BlackBerry, ha dichiarato come: "Molte delle più grandi marche del mondo, tra cui un gran numero di clienti e partner, sono elencati sul NYSE e non vediamo l'ora di aderire a loro. Mentre continuiamo a promuovere la nostra strategia di crescita, crediamo che la nostra partnership con NYSE rafforzerà ulteriormente il profilo della nostra azienda e rafforzerà il valore del nostro marchio BlackBerry Secure".

Nonostante questa mossa, la quotazione di BlackBerry sulla Borsa di Toronto (TSX) non cambierà mentre il trasferimento dovrebbe avvenire il 16 ottobre 2017 all'apertura delle quotazioni del NYSE. Di seguito il comunicato stampa completo:


BlackBerry Announces Plan to Move to the New York Stock Exchange
WATERLOO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Oct. 3, 2017) - BlackBerry Limited (NASDAQ:BBRY)(TSX:BB) today announced its pending transfer of the listing of its common stock from the NASDAQ Global Select Market ("NASDAQ") to the New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE"). The company expects to begin trading on the NYSE on October 16, under the new ticker symbol "BB". The company will continue to trade on the NASDAQ until the transfer is completed. BlackBerry's listing on the TSX will not change.
